ILLUSTRATOR
Illustrator is probably my favorite applications to use from the Adobe suite. Here is where I designed the majority of projects.

Panel #1: Two women are in a disagreement because something was misinterpreted.

Panel #2: Shows two people in conflict. His body language is communicating affection but she isn’t, returning a response.

Panel #3: The woman is trying to communicate her thoughts to the man and he isn’t understanding it the way she is portraying. This has caused an issue for the both of them.

Communication Misunderstood
Practicum // Fall 2016
For my practicum project, I wanted to work with visualizing communication without words. I decided to use people as examples to represent my vision. As I started working, my work began to evolve using shapes, each one imperfect and differently shaped (just like humans). The shapes around the faces help portray how blinded humans can be and how he or she can sometimes hear but not listen. I decided to use colors to communicate emotions: power, anger, solidity, loyalty, sadness, etc... These colors give a visual representation on communication and how sometimes it can be not understood, misinterpreted, or not communicated at all.
